Food Safety Manager
STS have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join their team in this challenging and varied role.
This role includes: Undertaking BRC and other food safety audits, liaison with professional bodies such as BRC and UKAS , investigation of food complaints, responding to technical queries, client liaison, monitoring team of auditors, writing documented systems. There is also the opportunity for delivery of training, health & safety consultancy and work overseas.
The candidate must be qualified in Environmental Health with 5 or more years experience inspecting and/or auditing food suppliers, and must have excellent working knowledge of food safety legislation including product specific laws.
Candidates will preferably hold lead assessor qualification and have working knowledge of supplier certification such as BRC global standards – food. Commercial and management experience are desirable.
Essential attributes are scrupulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, sound decision making and the ability to work well both autonomously and within our team. Flexibility to travel is required.
