Tower Press are a small, but specialised, team of printers and finishers. They respond to the immediate printing needs of a wide range of professional clients. They operate from a modern premises in South Warnborough in Hampshire.
After implementing the policy procedures, we undertook individual and management training in the issues raised. This enabled us to focus their approach to Health & Safety matters.
Due to legislation changes and requirements, Tower Press needed to incorporate specific Health & Safety policies and procedures into their company.
However, they could not carry out the necessary risk assessment or policy development internally, so they had to use an external company.
With our vast experience in Health & Safety we were able to provide a comprehensive auditing evaluation for Tower Press.
Initial work involved detailed assessment of the activities of the company. This varied from general risks of the printing trade to evaluation of the hazards of the materials used in the processes. After the assessment, we were then able to develop a tailored Health & Safety company policy document.
Creating relationships
We have developed a strong working relationship with Tower Press and still have a regular input into their Health & Safety procedures.
We now provide regular quarterly scored audits. This gives management and supervisors the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and commitment to Health & Safety and the welfare of all the Tower Press Team, contractors and visitors to their premises.
